Infertility Sucks!

I recall my own infertility more than a decade ago now, but I’m sure the emotions and challenges are the same for everyone who is having trouble achieving a pregnancy today.

Like everyone once I decided it was time to have a baby, even as a doctor, I had expected it would happen fairly quickly just like all my friends around me who already had a few children.

I remember a Kleenex ad on TV of a mother and cutest baby which put a knife through my heart every time I saw it as it was everything I wanted but just couldn’t achieve. Once I had my first child I recall the same ad feeling so heart felt and reminding me of the bundle of joy I now had.

The lows and highs of infertility are incredible and we need to be thoughtful, understanding and encouraging to those that may be at a low.
